Log a new weight from the weight tile rather than replacing your history. Turtle uses the series and its trend, not just one reading.
Connect Apple Health from Integrations, then grant Turtle access to the data types you want to import. A disabled iOS permission cannot be repaired inside Turtle; change it in Health or Settings.
Health Connect is Android's shared health store. Turtle can import supported activity data after you grant read permissions there.
Support can take bug reports, feature requests and nutrition questions. For a data mismatch, include the date, phone model and screenshots from Turtle and the source app.
Open Food, choose the meal and add an item by search, barcode, your saved foods or quick entry. Always check the serving amount before confirming.
Holiday Mode protects the selected break from affecting LeanShield and progress pressure, then makes your chosen restart date Day 1 of a clean check-in week. Your history remains.
Check-in V2 reviews your recent weight trend, food, movement, sleep, training and wellbeing, then explains the week and proposes calories, protein or step changes when the evidence supports them.
AI Coach can explain your Turtle data, recent trends, goals, LeanShield and app features. It should say when data is missing and should not replace a clinician for diagnosis, emergencies or medication decisions.
Auto Adjuster moves calories between days based on what you logged so the weekly total stays on plan. It does not punish one higher day; it helps manage the week as a whole.
Pause Mode temporarily stops check-ins, scores, averages and charts from moving forward. It deletes nothing. When you resume, you start a fresh week and the first review is seven days later.
Restart today begins Day 1 of a fresh check-in week and moves the next check-in to seven days later. It keeps food, weights and other history you already logged.
Start with The Mindset You Need [Day 1] in the 14-Day Masterclass. Its core idea is to stop trying to perfect the whole future: understand today's plan, take one useful action, log honestly and give the process enough time to learn from your real data.
The Train tab is your workouts hub: start a programme, build a session, find saved workouts and review history.
Use the five bottom tabs for daily actions. Home is your daily dashboard, Food logs meals, Train holds workouts, Community opens member support, and More contains settings, data, goals, integrations and help.
The usual cause is source priority. Apple Health combines iPhone, Apple Watch and third-party sources; the source at the top takes priority when they overlap. Put the watch or wearable you actually use above the iPhone.
Turtle sets a starting target from your profile and goal, then checks real trend data in Check-in V2. A target that feels generous can still be a deficit; do not slash it after one day or one scale reading.
Check three links in the chain: the wearable records the data, its app writes to Apple Health or Health Connect, and Turtle has permission to read it.
Yes. The AI Workout Builder can parse pasted text or an image into a structured draft. Voice is transcribed first. You review the exercises and sets before using it.
Yes. Turtle can turn a recipe photo or URL into an editable draft. The import is a starting point, not an automatic final save.
Yes. Use Re-do Full Questionnaire when your overall goal or starting information has changed enough to rebuild the plan. For one small change, use the individual Profile or goal setting instead.
Yes. When correcting a packaged food, Turtle can read nutrition-label photos into an editable draft. You still confirm the values before they are saved.
Measurements can be logged independently of a check-in, so add them whenever you take a consistent set.
Your GLP-1 profile records medication context, doses and side effects so Turtle can interpret appetite, training and muscle-protection needs more usefully. It does not prescribe or change your dose.
Progress photos are stored by date and angle so you can compare like with like.
The Workout Builder lets you choose exercises, sets and targets, then start immediately or save the workout for later.
Turtle's reminder choices live in Notification Preferences. Your phone's system settings still have the final say over whether notifications can appear.
Display Preferences controls presentation choices, while Planner Preferences and Water Settings control those specific parts of the diary.
Macros Preferences controls how your calories are divided. If Auto Adjuster is active, some values are managed for you.
Your editable account details live in Profile.
Password changes are under Profile. If you cannot sign in, use Forgot Password on the login screen instead.
Your current profile image appears at the top of Profile. Use Edit Profile to update account details and the available image controls.
Dashboard Settings lets you show, hide and reorder the optional sections on Home.
Open Integrations, choose the provider and complete its sign-in and permissions. On Android, using the wearable's Health Connect link can also keep everything in one shared store.
Use Copy food to move one or more logged items to another meal or date. Check the destination before confirming.
A recipe combines ingredients into a reusable item and divides the total nutrition by the servings you set.
Create a custom food when search and barcode results do not match what you eat. Enter values exactly as shown per serving or per 100 g.
Delete Account is at the bottom of More. Account deletion is separate from cancelling an App Store or Google Play subscription, so check both if you want to stop billing and remove data.
Open the logged item from the Food diary to adjust its serving or remove it. Editing a diary entry does not change the master food for everyone.
Use Log a workout in the Train hub. Strength sessions go through the builder; other activities can be added as a quick activity.
Symptoms can be added for a date from the cycle area and reviewed alongside your cycle timeline.
Use the cycle area to add period dates. Correct dates matter because Turtle uses them to label cycle context, not to diagnose anything.
App subscriptions are managed by the store account that purchased them. Cancelling stops renewal; it does not normally erase your Turtle account or existing history.
Use the Community tab in the bottom navigation. Community access and the content shown can depend on your account and current programme.
The planner lets you distribute the same weekly allowance differently across the week—for example, saving more for a meal out.
Open a completed workout from Train > My Workouts > Recent. Strength sessions can be restarted, and history entries can be removed from their detail or row action.
Saved meals let you add a group of foods together without rebuilding the plate each time.
The barcode scanner searches Turtle's food database. Check the pack against the result, especially the serving size, before logging it.
Turtle uses protein, strength training and appropriate calorie intake as the main muscle-protection levers. LeanShield and Check-in V2 make those visible and adjust the plan from real data.
Check the email used for the account, request a password reset if needed, and avoid creating a second account with a different Apple sign-in email.
The available scopes depend on platform. Apple Health can expose steps, weight, activity, sleep, workouts, recovery and cycle data. Health Connect support currently focuses on the Android scopes shown in Integrations; cycle import is not offered there.
Your history is not deleted. Open the Home check-in prompt when available. If life has interrupted the week, use Restart, Pause or Holiday Mode rather than trying to repair every missed day.
LeanShield is a 0–100 view of whether your current calories, protein and strength training are helping protect muscle while you lose fat. It is a coaching dashboard, not a verdict.
Insights joins recent weight, nutrition, sleep, steps, water and LeanShield signals into one dashboard. Data shows the raw charts; Insights helps explain what they mean together.
Use Guess Track for meals out or food you cannot measure. A reasonable estimate keeps the week useful; pretending it did not happen does not.
A useful report identifies one metric and one date, then shows Turtle beside the original source. That lets support separate a source problem from a sync or display problem.
Guided Programmes live under More and in the Train hub. Active programmes can also place the current day on Home.
Home shows the current Daily Listen when enabled. The full One Day at a Time catalogue has search, while programme-specific audio stays inside its programme day.
Data contains the underlying charts and history. Insights explains the recent signals together, while Check-in V2 gives the scheduled weekly review.
Images are used in four different ways: nutrition-label photos can prefill a barcode correction, recipe photos can create an editable recipe draft, workout images can create an editable workout draft, and progress/profile photos are stored for the views you choose.
A one-day jump is usually water, stored carbohydrate, sodium, digestion or cycle timing—not instant fat gain. Turtle's weekly review looks at the trend, so avoid changing the plan from one reading.
Health Connect can receive steps from your phone and several wearable apps. Give your real wearable app the highest priority and remove duplicate sources from the total if needed.
First check your profile, goal and recent target changes. Do not force a target that leaves you unwell, unable to train or constantly hungry; weekly review data is there to adjust the plan.
A watch can tell Turtle that strength training happened, but usually not which muscles and sets you trained. Confirmation adds that missing detail so your history and LeanShield are more useful.
First update Turtle from the App Store or Google Play and fully reopen it. Some onboarding and paywall experiences are assigned remotely, but core help should match the current public build.
